Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is an American-based multinational electronic commerce company. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, it is America's largest online retailer, with nearly three times the Internet sales revenue of the runner up, Staples, Inc., as of January 2010. Jeff Bezos founded Amazon.com, Inc. in 1994 and launched it online in 1995. It started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified to product lines of VHS, DVD, music CDs and MP3s, computer software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and so on. Amazon has established separate websites in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, and China. It also provides international shipping to certain countries for some of its products. On January 15, 2009, a survey published by Verdict Research found that Amazon was the UK's favorite music and video retailer, and came third in overall retail rankings. Amazon was founded in 1994, spurred by what Bezos called "regret minimization framework," his effort to fend off regret for not staking a claim in the Internet gold rush.

You have to be meticulous in your research when you’re writing user manuals, you have to be pristine with every fact ... But with fiction, you have to do enough research to make it believable, but aside from that, you are pretty free to roam as you will.
A lot of the stuff sounds outrageous, but most of it is based on fact with some fiction
It started out as a short little diddy that I wrote for friends in March of 2008. The characters just took on a life of their own, and today, it’s 390 pages
I called Lens Magazine after noticing that they don’t have too much coverage on how to make home movies, so I just asked them if I could write something up, and they were fine with it
